Most artists know what they want — a long career with creative freedom, recognition and a consistent living wage. What they've never had is someone on the business side they could locate, contact, afford or trust.
MUN changes all of that.
The business agreements that shape a music career — recording, publishing, booking, name-image-likeness — have always been gated behind established managers and lawyers most artists can't locate, afford, or get to take their call. So artists sign things they shouldn't, or freeze and let opportunities pass. The talent was never the problem.
Awareness, access and affordability is the challenge.
Access to best-practices information on how the business really works — and the standard business agreements — is open and free. That's how artists find their footing, and find us.
Always remember: you only pay MUN when money is actually received.
Industry information is an asset in this business, and MUN offers artists free and unlimited access wherever they are. Plain-language explanations about how the music business really works and the standardized, fair-terms agreements across every revenue sector — no paywall, no permission needed. That's the MUN way.
Every agreement is built to be fair by default — not a one-sided template dumped on someone who can't tell a good deal from a bad one.
When there's a deal to do, MUN can handle it for a declining commission — 15% down to 5% — on the revenue we originate for you.
The four ways working artists actually earn money — each with agreements you can use today, and representation when it counts.
MUN was founded by Mitchell Fox, a 50+ year industry insider who has worked with musical talent ranging from Led Zeppelin to the Kentucky Headhunters. As an artist manager, he built his practice on a simple premise: financially participate only in the revenue you create for the artist, after all expenses are deducted.
That aligned, net-of-costs arrangement isn't theoretical. It has held with the Headhunters since 1978 and has worked for both sides for over forty years.
We're building MUN now and bringing on a first group of artists and professionals. Add your name — we'll reach out personally.
